P1Harmony took the stage at The Theatre at Mediacorp with a resounding bang for their first-ever concert in Singapore on September 17, 2023. Since their explosive debut in 2020, the group has been steadily rising to new heights and garnering recognition from all over the world. From the very moment all six members of P1Harmony made their entrance, dressed in dashing blue suits, loud cheers from their devoted fanbase, P1eces, reverberated through the venue.
Kicking off the night with a triumphant roar, they opened the show with ‘Look At Me Now’, a bold track that shows the group’s determination to have your eyes glued to them for the rest of the show. And they are definitely succeeding with their impeccable stage presence as they followed right after with ‘Back Down’ and ‘Scared’, keeping the adrenaline high. The sheer energy that all members bring to the stage is perhaps one of the most striking aspects of P1Harmony’s concert. Each member radiated charisma and delivered performances with synchronized dance moves, and powerful vocals that had all the fans entranced.
Other than their own songs, the members also showcased their versatility and individual charms through a series of solo and unit covers. With just a microphone stand and a spotlight shining down on him, vocalist Theo had the whole audience enchanted with his luscious rendition of ‘21’ by Dean. Next, Soul serenaded everyone with his pure and soulful voice with ‘Hug Me’ by Joonil Jung. Switching it up totally, Jiung, Keeho and Soul then took the stage as a soul and delivered an eye-catching and splendid performance of ‘Love Never Felt So Good’ by Michael Jackson. Last but not least, rappers Intak and Jongseob gave an electrifying rap performance with their commanding presence and addictive rap flow. All-in-all, these performances were solid evidence of P1Harmony’s limitless talent and dedication to their craft.
In addition to their sensational performance, P1Harmony’s endearing interactions with P1eces added a delightful layer of charm to the concert. It was amusing to see them get into the Singaporean spirit by playfully incorporating “lah” into nearly every sentence. Even with simple phrases like “Great to meet you lah” and “Thank you lah”, it created a light-hearted atmosphere that had both the group and fans laughing together. “Shiok” was also another Singlish phrase that they seemed to enjoy as they used it to describe some of the local delights they have tried like black pepper crab and chilli crab.
It was evident that P1Harmony cherished all their fans as they took every chance to shoot hearts to fans, regardless of which category they were seated in. The members also took the time to celebrate Keeho’s upcoming birthday by singing the birthday song for him and all the other September babies present.
During the encore, the members also went down the stage to walk the aisles of the lower stalls to get even closer to their fans. It was heartwarming to see how all these interactions added a personal touch to the concert, making it feel like an intimate gathering with friends rather than a formal performance. Even though I attended the concert as a casual fan, it was impossible not to get caught up with their infectious passion and leave the show as a P1ece!
